Nigeria vs Czech Republic: All you need to know, possible starting XI, TV schedule

Nigeria will continue their preparation for this year’s World Cup in Russia, with a friendly match against Czech Republic on Wednesday.

The game will be played at Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion Stadium in Austria.

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has already named his final 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Rohr had dropped Ola Aina and Mikel Agu, from the players that travelled to London to play England on Saturday.

“It’s Ola Aina and Mikel Agu. They will be on standby. We go with 23 players to Austria; if there is another problem or injury like happened four years ago when Elderson was injured, they will be on standby for that,” Rohr told KweséESPN on Sunday.

Rohr’s men head into this clash following their 2-1 defeat to the Three Lions of England at Wembley over the weekend.

Eagles conceded two goals from Gary Cahill and Harry Kane in the first half before responding with an Alex Iwobi strike after the break as the hosts defeated the three times African champions in front of their home fans.

Kick-off for the match against Czech Republic is 2:00pm and the game is expected to be shown on SuperSports.

Nigeria potential starting XI: Uzoho; Shehu, Troost-Ekong, Balogun, Echiejile; Mikel Obi, Ndidi, Ogu; Victor Moses, Iwobi, Ighalo.

Czech Republic potential starting XI: Vaclik; Kaderabek, Suchy, Kalas, Novak; Darida, Soucek; Krmencik, Barak, Kopic; Schick.

After the game against Czech, Nigeria will head out to Russia to begin their 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign underway in less than two weeks.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Monday morning announced the Super Eagles jersey numbers for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
