Transfer news: Arsenal sign Petr Cech’s replacement


Arsenal are set to announce the arrival of goalkeeper Bernd Leno in the coming days.

The Gunners have completed the signing of the Bayer Leverkusen star who also attracted interests from Liverpool and Napoli.

SportBild reports that Arsenal have sign the highly-rated German and expect Leno to take over from legendary Petr Cech.

Leno cost Arsenal around £20million.

Cech has just a year left on his current Arsenal deal and Unai Emery is expected to ease the stopper out of the club in the next 12 months.

A new goalkeeper is a priority and Arsenal fans will be excited to see one of Germany’s most promising goalkeepers sign up for the club.

Leno has made 304 appearances for Leverkusen, sometimes captaining the side last season, and has managed 100 clean sheets for the German team.
