World Cup 2018: All North African teams eliminated from tournament

The three North African countries that qualified for the 2018 World Cup, have been eliminated from only two rounds of matches.

This follows Tunisia’s 5-2 defeat to Belgium in Saturday’s first fixture.

The Carthage Eagles were torn apart by Roberto Martinez’s men, with both Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard scoring braces at the Spartak Stadium.

Tunisia had lost 2-1 to England in their opening game.

Earlier in the week, Egypt bowed out of the tournament, following a 3-1 loss to hosts Russia. The Pharaohs were defeated 1-0 by Uruguay in their opener.

Morocco have also suffered an early exit, after 1-0 losses to both Iran and Spain.

This leaves the two West African countries, Senegal and Nigeria.
