Ogun Customs move to improve relationship with host communities


The Ogun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has begin the move at improving relationship with host communities, especially at border areas.

This was revealed in a statement by the command's spokesman, Abdullahi Maiwada, on Wednesday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

According to the statement, the Area Controller, Michael Agbara, held a meeting with heads of traditional institutions along the border areas as parts of efforts to ensure seamless operations of the officers and men of the command.

"In an effort to revamp the relationship between host communities at the Border Areas within Ogun state, the CAC Ogun Command, Controller Michael Agbara, on 18th September, 2018 host a meeting with heads of traditional institutions along the border areas.

"Issues were articulated on how best to improve Customs community relationship among other discussions. 

"He further promised to resuscitate the forum by ensuring the hosting of the meeting on a quarterly basis".
