2019: Don’t allow political ‘spent-horses’ access to governance again – GDPN

The National Publicity Secretary of the Grassroots Development Party of Nigeria (GDPN). Barrister Yelwa Abubakar ,has challenged Nigerians to use their PVCs to stop those she called, “spent horses”, from gaining access to political offices in 2019.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Friday, she said, the two major parties, APC and PDP were made up of those who looted the nation’s resources that brought untold hardships on Nigerians since 1999.

She stressed that it was the same politicians that migrated from PDP to APC and vice versa, adding that they were bereft of ideas to move the nation forward.

According to her, it was the electorate that should stop them and vote other politicians in other political parties.

“It’s appalling seeing some Nigerians contemplating to vote those who brought hardship on them.

“These old politicians don’t have an idea of what to do or even cannot clone ideas to make the country grow economically. It is high time, Nigerians looked at what we have at GDPN and forget those who looted the nation’s treasury,” she said.

“GDPN Presidential candidate, Dr Davidson Isibor Akhimien understands the Economic intricacies of the nation and knows the suffering and yearnings of Nigerians. He is a genuine politician who is passionate about the country.”

Yelwa insisted that moneybags have recircled themselves and they have hijacked the political space, noting that it was Nigerians that could stop them.

“Let’s all be wise and stop the recircling of the political moneybags who enriched themselves at our expense”, she noted.
