Abducted Ondo ADC senatorial candidate, chairman regain freedom

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, Ondo North Senatorial Candidate for the 2019 elections, Jide Ipinsagba, who was kidnapped four days ago, has been freed.

Ipinsagba regained his freedom from his abductors alongside the state chairman of the party, Bisi Ogungbemi, as well as three others who were also abducted.

Meanwhile, as of the time of filling this report, it could not be ascertained if ransom was paid.

Confirming the release of the ADC chieftains, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ondo State Command, Femi Joseph stated that the command would soon brief newsmen on the details of the release.

But he maintained that the heat mounted on the kidnappers by the police hastened their release as effort was still on to nab the perpetrators.

Some days ago, it was reported how Ipinsagba, Ogungbemi and three other chieftains of the party in the state were kidnapped along at Oba-Akoko axis of the Akoko-Owo road on their way from a political outing in Ikare-Akoko.
