EPL: Emery reveals why Arsenal defeated Huddersfield Town

Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has explained why his side defeated Huddersfield Town 1-0 on Saturday evening in the Premier League.

Lucas Torreira’s overhead kick was enough to give Emery’s men a deserve three points against the visitors.

Emery said the Gunners defeated Huddersfield because his players were patient during the encounter.

“It was a tough match, like many matches, and today it is important because we didn’t have rhythm but still won,” Emery told BBC Sport.

“I’m very happy with the result. It was hard for us to control the match today.

“Patience is the key word today. I wanted us to win more quickly but we needed to be patient.

“We can improve more and today we spoke that we want to win matches with more control.

“But we are very competitive and showed character.”

Arsenal now sit on third positions on the Premier League table with 34 points from 16 games.
