Ugwuanyi’s re-election vote for peace, good governance – Enugu Mandate

A non-governmental organization in Enugu State, ‘The Mandate Renaissance Initiative’, has described Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s re-election as a vote for good governance and peace.

This was part of a press statement issued by the Patron of the group, Dr Felix Ugwu and the Coordinator of the group/Administrator of Udi South Development centre, Hon. Ifeanyi Agu.

In the statement, made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Enugu, the group said Ugwuanyi had worked so hard to build new infrastructure as well as maintain existing ones in the state.

“Of particular mention is the ‘one community, one project’ initiative of the current administration which has transformed rural communities in the state and the peace that radiates in the state,” it stated.

It stated that the group had no doubt that the second term of the governor would witness more dividends of democracy that would further transform the state.

The statement added that the victory was for good governance and effective risk management of human and material resources which had been the hallmarks of the current administration in the state.

They called on residents of the state to continue to give the needed support to the governor and urged Ugwuayi to continue to be magnanimous in victory.

“The people of Enugu State have spoken. They voted for good governance inherent in Ugwuanyi’s administration. They voted for peace as well as for effective risk management of human and material resources.

“We are indeed grateful to God for the landslide victory and pray God to continue to guide and bestow the governor with more wisdom to consolidate on the good works he has started in the state,’’ it stated.
