UEFA Super Cup: Pedro names one Liverpool player that will trouble Chelsea

Chelsea forward, Pedro has named one Liverpool player that could trouble the Blues ahead of Super Cup clash in Istanbul.

The Spaniard named Virgil van Dilk as one of the best in the game, while warning his manager, Frank Lampard against Liverpool’s ability to break.

Pedro believes only Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos is on the same level with van Dijk at present.

Pedro and his team-mates will be tasked with trying to find a way beyond van Dilk in Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup here in Istanbul.

When asked to compare fellow Spaniard Ramos with Van Dijk, Pedro told Echo, “At this moment these two players are at the top.

“Sergio Ramos is very good and I know him very well. A central defender he is great with the ball, a good passer and a good defender as well.

“Van Dijk is also the same, so strong and very good in the air, good with passes as well and scores goal.

“They are two big players.

“He is in a great moment right now, last season Van Dijk had a very good season, winning the Champions League and being the best player in the league.

“He is a good defender.

“Liverpool are a good team and good at counter-attacks as well.

“We need to read the game well and stay compact and if we create chances we need to score. It’s a great opportunity to win a trophy.”
