Governor Samuel Ortom has commiserated with the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike over the death of his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu.
Nwakaudu died last week after a brief illness.
Although the cause of his death has not been disclosed, there are speculations that it could be related to cardiac arrest.
Reacting, Ortom in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tever Akase, described the demise as shocking and unfortunate.
According to him, the late media aide who served as the state correspondent of Guardian Newspaper in Benue State, was a true professional who diligently carried out his duties.
The Governor prayed that God grant the deceased eternal rest and console his family, Governor Wike and the entire Government of Rivers State.
