Edo election: Obaseki announces those he’ll deal with

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has vowed to deal with thugs that may be used to disrupt the forthcoming governorship election.
The poll will be held on September 19.
On Sunday, Obaseki, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, warned against violence as he campaigned.
He spoke at his ward Opoji, Esan Central Local Government Area.
The governor revealed that he received intelligence to suspend his campaign.
He vowed not to “succumb to threats” and urged PDP members and supporters to remain steadfast.
“We will tame the lions and tigers in Edo with relevant laws of our country,” NAN quoted him as saying.
Obaseki assured Opoji residents that “adequate security would be provided on election day.”
