Chelsea have confirmed the signing of defender, Thiago Silva, from Paris Saint-Germain.
Silva joined Frank Lampard’s side on a one-year contract.
Chelsea disclosed this in a statement via the club’s official website on Friday morning.
The statement reads: “Chelsea Football Club has completed the signing of one of the big names in world football with Thiago Silva joining on a one-year contract, with the club having the option of a further 12 months.”
Speaking after joining Chelsea, Silva said: “I am so happy to be joining Chelsea.
“I am delighted to be a part of Frank Lampard’s exciting squad for next season, and I’m here to challenge for honours. See you soon, Chelsea fans, I look forward to playing at Stamford Bridge very soon.”
