The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence corps, NSCDC, has arrested two suspects for allegedly gang-raping a 17-year-old girl in Jigawa State.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at about 4:00 AM at Gidan Ruwa Quarters in Kazaure Local Government Area of Jigawa.
The suspects were identified as Abubakar Usman, 18 years and Ya’u Sa’idu, 20 years, who connived and gained unlawful entry into the family house of the victim.
It was learnt that the suspects met the victim while asleep in her room with her two sisters, tied her hands up, covered her mouth and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
One of the victim’s sisters, who woke up due to the struggles, raised the alarm and the suspects took to their heels and one of the suspects was recognized.
Spokesman of the NSCDC command SC Adamu Shehu confirmed the incident to newsmen.
He said medical report indicated forceful penetration and infections around the vaginal area of the victim.
Adamu said the suspects had confessed to the allegation and were charged to court.
