4 suspects nabbed for allegedly attacking police station in Ebonyi

 

Four suspected hoodlums were yesterday arrested for allegedly attacking one of the police area commands located at Ngbo community in Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi State.

The suspected hoodlums were also reported to have attacked a police commander whose name was yet to be identified at the time of filing this report.

The suspects was arrested through a joint operation of the police and Technical Assistants to the Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi on security at Ngbo community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

It was gathered that the suspected hoodlums attacked Ngbo Area command and attempted to take away things during their operation.

It was also learnt that luck ran out of the suspects when Ngbo Central Security Organization, led by Mr. Leonard Igwe took some TA’s and embarked on full investigation on the incidents which led to their arrest.

Responding to the development, the Chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Barr. Clement Odah said the suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation.

“I write to report that the leader of one of my security outfits, Ngbo Central Security Organization, led by Mr. Leonard Igwe with the support of TAs on security has arrested 4 suspects in connection with the attack of the Area Commander. All have been handed over to the DPO,” he stated.

When contacted for further details, the spokesperson of Ebonyi state Police command, DSP, Loveth Odah said she has not been properly briefed on the incident.

Although, she avowed to make all details available as soon as she gets briefed by the affected Ngbo area command.

Investigation revealed that two AK 47 riffles was recovered from the suspects.
