Police arrests four persons over alleged killing of vigilante member in Jigawa

 

Police in Jigawa State have arrested four persons in connection with the alleged killing of a vigilante member in the state.

State commissioner of police, CP Usman Sule Gomna disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the command’s achievements.

Saga Gist reports that 42-year-old vigilante member identified as Babaji Amadu was butchered by unknown men while serving as security guard in sesame farm at Sabon Garin Gadala village in Gwaram Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

He explained that in the course of investigation, police succeeded in arresting four persons in Bauchi State.

Those arrested include 20-year Abubakar Haruna, Ibrahim Abdullahi, 25 years, Kabiru Amadu, 20 years and Baderi Garkuwa ,25 years.

Speaking to newsmen, the suspects confirmed to have committed the nefarious act.

They said they were in the farm to steal the sesame and in the process, they killed the guard.

The commissioner said one of the suspects identified as Garari Tori is also on the run and the case is still under investigation and will be charged to court.
