Transfer: Bruno Fernandes unhappy with Man United board

Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, is angry with the club’s board over their approach during the summer transfer window, according to Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window Podcast.

Fernandes is not happy with Man United hierarchy over their business in the last transfer window and thinks the Red Devils’ activity did not match the expectations he had when he arrived at Old Trafford in January from Sporting Lisbon.

The Portugal international believes that Man United have not signed players who will improve the team to a level that will bring them closer to Premier League rivals, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Saga Gist recalls that this is coming a few days after Fernandes vented his frustration towards his Man United teammates at half time during their 6-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur before the international break.

The 26-year-old was left furious by Man United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision to take him off at half-time against Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Man United missed out on their top transfer target, Jadon Sancho, who stayed put at Borussia Dortmund.

Solskjaer’s side was forced into a late burst of activity on transfer deadline day as Alex Telles, Edinson Cavani, Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo were all signed.

Donny van de Beek also joined Man United from Ajax earlier in the transfer window.
