Man United vs West Brom: Solskjaer names players to miss EPL clash

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, on Friday confirmed that Jesse Lingard, Phil Jones and Luke Shaw will take no part in his side’s squad to tackle West Brom in the Premier League on Saturday night because the players are not yet training on the grass.

Solskjaer also said that Mason Greenwood would miss the West Brom clash because the England striker had nine days to return to action for Man United.

Solskjaer’s men head to the game after defeating Everton 3-1 in their last Premier League fixture before the international break.

“Jesse [Lingard], Phil [Jones] and Luke [Shaw] are not on the grass yet,” Solskjaer told Man United’s official website

“Mason [Greenwood] is fitter. He had eight or nine days away from us, which is a long time.

“He’s been training hard this week in the gym and on the grass. He’ll be back soon,” he added.

The kick-off time is 9 pm, Nigerian time.
