The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), on Monday said there is no recruitment exercise ongoing in the institution.
Mr Adegbenro Adebanjo, the Deputy Director, Corporate Communications and Protocol of the university, in a statement issued on Monday said the social media has been awash with a recruitment exercise by the institution.
Adebanjo warned the public to be wary of those behind the reports, adding that no recruitment exercise is currently on in the institution.
“This notice serves as a disclaimer to the bogus recruitment exercise on social media.
“For the avoidance of doubt, FUTA has not advertised for any vacancy and members of the public are advised to discountenance the purported recruitment exercise and not to enter into any negotiation with anybody for the non-existing vacancies,” the statement read.
He added that FUTA would notify the general public of any recruitment exercises through established channels of national newspapers and its official social media platforms and website at the right time.
