Coordinator of the End SARS protests in Warri, Delta State, Comrade Israel Joe on Monday said there was no repeat of the protest due to the insecurity, cult clashes and killings in the State.
Comrade Joe made the assertion in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent in Warri.
He said they are very sensitive to the times the state and nation at the moment.
According to Joe, “if a repeat of the protest is allowed to hold, it may be hijacked by cultists, criminals and even killers who will also blame same it on genuine protesters”
While noting that the Anti-Commander in Delta State was shot dead by gunmen over the weekend, Joe said, “It will be a disservice to risk the lives of Nigerians if we hold the protest again.”
Security operatives were also said to have warned residents to stay home and avoid gatherings to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
