Six persons on Wednesday lost their lives in an accident which occurred within the Ajaokuta Steel Complex in Kogi State.
Eyewitnesses told newsmen in Lokoja that three people died on the spot while three others died later in a hospital.
According to NAN, a female victim said to be in critical condition was later transferred to the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja.
Also confirming the accident, Kogi Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Solomon Agure said that 10 persons were involved in that accident but only one escaped unhurt.
Agure said the two vehicles had a head-on collision due to wrongful overtaking on the part of one the drivers.
He further stated that the dead victims were believed to be workers of one the ceramic industries in Ajaokuta axis.
