Atiku receives second dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Former Nigeria Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has received his second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

His media aide, Paul Ibe, confirmed this on his Twitter page.

Atiku, who is currently in Dubai, UAE, received the first shot on January 6.

“H.E @atiku earlier today took his second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.

“He had earlier had the first jab on the 6th of January,” Ibe tweeted.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has been approved by several countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.

The chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has said Nigeria will get its first shipment of the vaccine in February.
