Unknown gunmen, Wednesday night, shot dead three persons in Ubeji Community of Delta State.
The deceased, who were shot at close range, died on the spot.
The incident occurred at about 9pm at the boundary between Ubeji and Egbokodo communities.
Our correspondent, who visited the area, reports that the incident may be connected with cult-related issues in the area.
When contacted for comments on Thursday morning, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the report in a chat with correspondent in Warri.
She said, “It’s true. I have heard it.”
