Imo police arraigns 14 Okorochas aides

 

The Imo State Police Command has arraigned 14 aides of the former Governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha in a Magistrate Court, Owerri.

They were arraigned before Justice B. U Adikaibe on a seven-count bordering on breach of peace, and destruction of government seal at Royal Spring Palm Estate, Owerri, on Sunday.

Saga Gist had reported that the former governor was arrested and detained by the police on Sunday night.

The Senator representing Orlu zone at the National Assembly was arrested for allegedly breaking into the sealed spring palm apartments and hotels said to be owned by his wife, Nkechi Okorocha.

However, Orlando Ikeokwu, the state Police Public Relations Officer disclosed while speaking on Channels Television’s programme, Sunrise Daily, on Monday that the command had released Rochas from its custody.
