Osun reopens Inisa Central Mosque

The Osun State Government has announced that the Inisa Town Central Mosque in the Odo-Otin Local Government Area of the state is to be reopened following the ongoing peaceful resolution of the crisis that plagued the community.

The government made this known on Friday in a public service announcement signed by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Abdullah Adeyanju Binuyo.

The public service announcement also directed that worshippers can now congregate at the mosque for their Juma’at and Eid prayers and that the government hoped that the community will justify the confidence reposed in it, to allow peace to continue to reign.

Saga Gist had reported that the state government had ordered an indefinite closure of the mosque to prevent the possibilities of an intra-religious or communal crisis trailing the town’s inability to choose its substantive Imam.
