EPL: Emile Heskey names club to win title, list teams to finish top four this season

Former Premier League star, Emile Heskey has predicted the possible winner of this season’s Premier League.

The former striker is expecting Chelsea and Liverpool to push Manchester City all the way for the title and suspects Leicester and Manchester United will fight it out for the fourth place.

Heskey, a former Liverpool and Leicester attacker, said Pep Guardiola’s side will defend their title despite a rocky start to the season.

It was a difficult opening week for Man City as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool defeated Norwich 3-0 while Thomas Tuchel Blues defeated Crystal Palace by the same scoreline.

Manchester United defeated Leeds United 5-1 and Heskey expects those four teams to finish to four this season.

“For me, it’s Man City again,’ Heskey told TalkSport.

“Even after the Spurs game I still think you know what you’re going to get with them, they’re arguably slow starters but once they get going it’s hard to stop them.

“I think for Liverpool it’s just getting the momentum. They’ll be there or thereabouts.

“I still have them and Chelsea in that three-horse race really. That’s my views on it.”

Asked who would make up the top four, Hesky laughed: ‘And Leicester!

“Look, United will be there or thereabouts. Leicester will want to break into that and I hope they do.

“But you’re probably saying United will be in there, really.”
