Akeredolu shuts Ondo popular club over security threat

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has ordered the immediate shut down of Bola Komo, a popular club in the state.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, the closure of the club became necessary following its profiling it has a hot spot by security agencies.

While disclosing that the closure of the club would be indefinite, Ojogo said anyone found around the facility does that at his or her own risk.

“It is pertinent to note that this order comes on the heels of a painstaking monitoring and surveillance effort culminating in detailed profiling of the facility as a hot spot by security agencies.

Meanwhile, some residents of the state had for a while been raising eyebrows over activities within and around the club.

While stressing that it was wrong for a club to operate in front of a secondary school, some of the residents maintained that the facility had become a choice place for teenagers engaging in immoral acts as well as where had drugs are freely taken.
