EPL: Man Utd to use Ronaldo to secure Haaland next year

Manchester United will push to sign Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland, despite signing Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.

The Red Devils believe Ronaldo could help convince him to join.

Ronaldo returns to Old Trafford on a two-year contract, 12 years after he left for Real Madrid.

However, United are already looking ahead to next summer and will battle some of Europe’s big teams for Haaland.

The Norwegian has a £68million release clause that becomes active at the end of this season.

ESPN reports that United believe they have the resources to win the race for Haaland and feel the return of Ronaldo to Old Trafford also strengthens their hand.

Haaland is a massive fan of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and has huge admiration for him.
