Eid-el-Maulud: Live in peace, love - PDP chieftain urges Muslims

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Mallam Mohammed Idris, on Tuesday urged Muslims in the state to live according to the preaching of the Islamic religion

Mallam Mohammed, who was the local government chairman in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State in 2015, and member, Kaduna State House of Assembly in 2018, noted that it is only when Muslims obey the dictate and teaching of prophet Mohammed, will there be peace, love for mankind.

According to him, “The pretenders of Islam will not inherit the His kingdom. If there is love, there will be no kidnapping, payment of ransom and killings as it happens in the state today.”

Mohammed, in a statement on Tuesday to mark the Eid-el-Maulud celebrations in Kaduna, felicitated Muslims on the occasion of the commemoration of the birth of Holy Prophet Mohammad.

He further urged all Muslims in the state to join Nigerians to reflect deeply on the role they could play individually and collectively to build a nation they would be proud of.

He equally appealed to residents of the state to always embrace dialogue in settling differences and reject attempts by unpatriotic individuals or groups to incite unrest which was always counter-productive.
