Antonio Conte has identified nine Manchester United players he could build a new team around.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, they are Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba, Raphael Varane, Alex Telles, Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.
The Italian’s preference could mean players like captain Harry Maguire and full-backs Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are in danger of losing their places in the starting XI.
Conte would also want to sign a new goalkeeper.
The 52-year-old has been linked with the United job, with current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under immense pressure at Old Trafford since the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool.
Conte is currently out of work after winning the Serie A title with Inter Milan last season and is keen on joining the Red Devils.
