Kano communities report influx of strangers from Zamfara

Hundreds of strangers are being sighted in different parts of Kano State, according to the locals.

The individuals are entering communities in Gwarzo, Kabo and Shanono local government areas.

Residents are apprehensive as most of them claim to be miners from Zamfara.

The state is under a major military operation, with telecommunication services shutdown since September 3.

This week, dozens of bandits were seen on new Boxer motorcycles around a primary school in Karaye.

The criminals made their way out of the area before security operatives got to the location.

They passed through the Gomo community and headed towards the Gomo forest.

Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna, did not take calls as of press time Friday morning.
