Champions League: Man United to be without 4 key players for Villarreal clash

Manchester United will be without four key players when they take on Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday evening in Spain.

The Premier League giants disclosed this in a post via their website on Monday ahead of the Villarreal clash.

The four players are Mason Greenwood, Paul Pogba, Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw.

Greenwood tested positive for COVID-19, while Pogba and Varane still face time on the sidelines following longer-term injuries.

Shaw, on the other hand, sustained another concussion injury on Saturday.

Man United head to the game following a 4-1 defeat to Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Man United’s caretaker manager, Michael Carrick, will take charge of the team against Villarreal.

Carrick temporarily replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Man United sacked the Norwegian on Sunday.
