Police in Jigawa State have arrested a 18-year-old Hassan Yahya over the alleged killing of a man at Wanzamai Village in Kafin Hausa local Government Area of the state.
Spokesman of the command, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam, stated this in a press statement issued to newsmen.
He said the arrest followed a report received by police that a corpse of a 28-year-old man identified as Mubarak was found in a pool of blood with deep knife injury on his neck at the outskirts of Wanzamai village.
Shiisu said a team of Policemen visited the scene and the victim was rushed to Hospital for medical attention, and he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
He said one knife was recovered as an exhibit close to the corpse.
Police spokesman said one Hassan Yahaya of the same address was arrested in connection with the murder.
The case is still under Investigation.
