EPL: Gary Neville reveals Man United only target this season, rules out Premier League title

Manchester United hero, Gary Neville has insisted that a top four finish and a trophy this season would be deemed a ‘great success’ for the Red Devils.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being sacked and Ralf Rangnick appointed for six months, United fans are hoping the second half of this campaign will be much better.

Manchester United returned to sixth position in the league table with 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace in Rangnick’s first match on Sunday which proved a good start.

“I think if you are being sensible then top four is the target,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“What has happened already this season means they cannot win the league. I don’t think they are good enough anyway.

“But I think they can certainly have a good season and finish in the top four. It would be incredible if they could win one of the cups. That would be a fantastic season for Ralf Rangnick.

“That would be a great success.”
