He always put Nigeria first - Buhari reacts to Dung Gwom death


 

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday sent his condolences to family, friends and associates of former Minister of Internal Affairs, Naval Commodore Lamba Dung Gwom (Rtd) over the passing of the exceptional military officer and national leader.

Buhari joins the Berom nation, government and people of Plateau State, and all former professional colleagues in mourning the former Minister of Internal Affairs.

This was disclosed in a statement by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, today.

The President believes the strong and positive influence of Commodore Gwom on his community, state and the nation will always be remembered.

He affirmed that “through simplicity, diligence and discipline Gwom served meritoriously, always putting the nation first.”

Buhari prays for the repose of the soul of the departed leader, who also served as Minister of Culture.

The President also prayed for God to comfort Gwom’s family.
