Taraba ADC new executives sworn-in


 

The newly-elected executive members of the Taraba State chapter of the African Democratic Party (ADC) have been sworn-in.

The swearing-in ceremony, which our reporter observed to have heralded the presence of the party supporters from the nooks and crannies of the state, to Jalingo, the state capital, was conducted by the national officials of the party.

Speaking shortly after their inauguration, the newly-elected state chairman, Alhaji Adamu Hassan Mohammed, vowed to work round the clock to halt overzealous politicians from hijacking the party.

He said, “Our party has ideologies and we hope to work assiduously to ensure that our party’s ideologies are not trampled on by overzealous politicians.

“As a peaceful party, politicians willing to come into the party must be a peace lover and not someone that goes about with thugs. ”

Also speaking, the party’s national officers led by Ambassador Sabiu Ibrahim Musa, urged the party’s faithful to eschew acts capable of truncating the party’s dreams ahead of the forthcoming polls.

Musa, who also doubles as the party’s state chairman in Plateau State, as well as the Secretary General of all the ADC’s Chairmen Forum, urged the teaming supporters of the party to put aside sentiments and other trivial issues in order to “capture Taraba state in the forthcoming elections.”

The national officer, who went ahead to reel out the challenges bedeviling the nation under the incumbent administration, said of given the mandate, ADC will mop up the streaming tears on the faces of Nigerians
