The Zamfara State House of Assembly has extended the tenure of fourteen Local Government sole administrators in the State by another six months.

It said the decision is in line with the House standing rules 2012, as amended.

A press statement signed by the House Director-General, Press Affairs, Mr. Mustapha Jafaru Kaura, disclosed that this followed an executive request read before the House by the Speaker, Hon Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya.

“Without much hesitation from the Honourable members, which is in accordance with the laid down procedure and standing rules, the House unanimously agreed for the time extension for a period of six months, effective from the 19th April, 2022,” the statement added.

In another development, the Speaker, Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya also read another executive communication letter requesting the House to screen and confirm two special Advisers nominees to work in the present administration of Governor Bello Muhammed Matawalle.
