UCL final: Luis Suarez opens up on Liverpool, Real Madrid clash, hails Benzema

Former Liverpool attacker, Luis Suarez, has shared his thoughts on the upcoming UEFA Champions League (UCL) final between the Reds and Real Madrid on Saturday in Paris.

Suarez stated that he is a big fan of his old club, Liverpool, but also hailed Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema.

The Uruguay international has also represented Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

The 35-year-old left Atletico Madrid this summer after joining in 2020 and it’s currently unclear where he will play next.

Speaking about the upcoming Champions League final in Paris, Suarez said (via Cadenaser): “I’m a fan of Barcelona, Liverpool, Atletico, of the teams I have played for… Benzema’s goal, the second he scored against Chelsea, I applauded him, because I was amazed at what he is doing. One is a soccer fan.”

Liverpool and Real Madrid’s clash will be a repeat of the 2018 Champions League final, where Los Blancos won 3-1.
