Former Chelsea player and manager, Glenn Hoddle has named an all-round England player who is better than Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
According to Hoddle, Tottenham Hotspur’s striker Harry Kane is an all-around footballer who is capable of doing more than just scoring goals as Haaland does Manchester City.
Harry Kane has netted 15 goals in 18 Premier League appearances for Tottenham this season but this fantastic output has been eclipsed by Haaland’s record-breaking 21 goals in 17 games.
And Hoddle noted that the England captain is a more complete footballer than the 22-year-old Norwegian goal machine.
“He [Kane] doesn’t even need to lift his head to know where the goalkeeper is going to be when the ball comes,” Hoddle said on Premier League Productions while analysing Kane’s effort against Crystal Palace on Wednesday
“If Tottenham has to get close to the top four they have to keep him fit. He’s got 15 goals in 18 games but nobody is talking about that because of Haaland.
“He’s a fantastic player. Haaland is a good finisher if you give him the chance and he’ll put it in the back of the net. Harry Kane can do that if he wants to or if he’s playing for City.
“But he has a lot more to do for Tottenham as well. He’s an around player apart from the goals he’s scoring he’s an incredible player. A wonderful footballer.”
