EPL: Arsenal go 8 points clear of Man City

Arsenal have opened an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League, following their 4-1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Gunners went into the game at the Emirates looking to bounce back from their Europa League exit in the hands of Sporting Lisbon.

Gabriel Martinelli, who missed the decisive kick against the Portuguese side, opened the scoring with a left-footed finish.

Mikel Arteta’s men doubled their advantage through Bukayo Saka just before half time.

Granit Xhaka made it 3-0, before Palace pulled one through Jeffrey Schlupp.

Saka’s sublime volley sealed the win for Arsenal.
