EPL: Hazard identifies Chelsea striker as best in the world

Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard, has revealed the club’s best striker.

Hazard said Olivier Giroud is the best striker in the world.

Hazard said this after him and the Frenchman combined well in Chelsea’s 4-1 win over Cardiff on Saturday.

Chelsea recovered from the shock of Sol Bamba’s early opener to maintain their 100% start to the new season.

Hazard scored twice in a devastating seven-minute spell before the break to turn the game on its head, both goals courtesy of superb link-up play from Giroud, who was making his first start of the season at the expense of Alvaro Morata

Morata has struggled to form the sort of telepathic understanding Hazard appears to share with Giroud.

Hazard believes the former Arsenal man is even better than his prolific Belgium teammate, Romelu Lukaku.

“He’s a target man, maybe the best in the world I think,” he said during post-match interview.

“When he gets the ball he can hold the ball and we can go with him in deep. So for us he is a pleasure to play with.

“When Alvaro is playing it is completely different he is a different type of player both are quality so we are happy to have good strikers.”
