Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has called on the Church and Christians to stand up against all forms of corruption and injustice and to also join President Muhammadu Buhari in building a better country for all.

Osinbajo made the call yesterday in Benin, during the 50th anniversary of Church of God Mission International.

Speaking on the topic “The Christian Politics and Nation Building” he urged Christians to imbibe the culture of integrity and hard work so as to engender growth and development in the country.

“The responsibility of nation building is rested on the church, and the Christians who are believers of Christ. We must follow his principles which include hard work, integrity and respect for constituted authorities to engender the needed growth,” he said.

The Vice President commended late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, for preaching the gospel around the globe.

Also speaking, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, said late Archbishop Benson Idahosa,  revolutionised the Pentecostal movement and would always be remembered for spreading the gospel around the globe.

He commended his wife, Archbishop Margaret Benson Idahosa, for carrying on her late husband’s legacies through preaching.

Earlier, Archbishop Margaret Benson Idahosa, said Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, was most qualified to speak to the church and the nation on the topic.
