Meet Yetunde Odugbesan, entrepreneur, philanthropist and CEO of Yetunde Global Consulting LLC


Yetunde Odugbesan-Omede is a dynamic and motivational global speaker. Most importantly she is an advocate for woman’s empowerment. She has built an empowerment movement and leadership brand that empowers, trains and equips people from all walks of life to be better leaders. Yetunde was born and raised in New Jersey, US. 

She inspires, encourages, motivates, challenges and supports people and her brand umbrella reaches thousands of women around the world. Her commitment to supporting women whether its through coaching, consulting, training, speaking, workshops or through her community space is encouraging other women do the same.

While Yetunde continues to empower women, she is also an entrepreneur, professor, and philanthropist. She is the CEO of Yetunde Global Consulting, LLC., a management consulting firm which specializes in leadership development and training, organizational management and business branding. 

She is also the Founder of Young Woman’s Guide, an organization that provides holistic leadership development for young women from all backgrounds. She is also the creator of Putting Your Best Self Forward, an online forum that provides personal and professional advice.

Yetunde is a Professor of Political Science and Global Affairs. She is also an Adjunct Faculty Member of Political Science at Rutgers University and International Studies at Adelphi University where she teaches Comparative Politics and Global Issues. 

She is a graduate of the United Nations Worldview Institute, an executive training program for business executives and professionals in the field of Global Business and International Affairs. 

She served as a fellow at United Nations Population Fund in their Executive Board and External Relations division where she worked on issues dealing with sexual health and reproductive rights, safety and security and the development of adolescent girls globally. She served also as a Fellow at New Jersey State Ethics Commission.

Yetunde was an Eagleton Institute of Politics Fellow and recieved a Certificate in Politics and Government. She was a New Leaders Council Fellow where she recieved a certificate in Applied Political Leadership. She received her master’s degree in Global Affairs with a concentration in International Law from Rutgers University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies with a double minor in Organizational Leadership and Africana Studies from Rutgers University.

Yetunde’s doctoral research focuses on the socialization of corruption and its effects on governmental trust, performance and social values. She is a member of Transperancy International Anti-Corruption Research Network (ACRN). Her research interests in anti-corruption, ethical leadership and youth development has influenced her academic background, profession and purpose.

Yetunde has extensive training in communication strategies and public speaking. She has mastered seven categories of public speaking. Her extensive experience includes leadership consulting, community organizing, research analysis, public speaking, social and human rights advocacy. Yetunde has worked on creating various conferences, lectures and symposiums on women empowerment and leadership development and training.

Her practical approach to effective leadership development inspires action and achieves results by developing leadership competencies for executives, young professionals, budding entrepreneurs and students (high school to graduate level and beyond). 

Her passion for excellence and results has made her a sought after motivational speaker and leadership consultant, whose tips & tools can be applied immediately to bring meaningful change to one’s business, personal life or organization. She has been interviewed and featured on numerous media outlets and has been invited to speak at various government functions, award ceremonies, conferences, seminars and more.
