Champion League: Owen predicts Chelsea vs Sevilla, PSG vs Man United games

Michael Owen, a former Premier League and La Liga striker, has predicted today’s Champions League matches between Chelsea vs Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain vs Manchester United.

Chelsea will host Sevilla in the Champions League group stage tie at Stamford Bridge following a 3-3 draw with Southampton in the Premier League last weekend.

Man United will tackle PSG in an away Champions League clash at Parc des Princes in France after beating Newcastle United 4-1.

Providing his predictions, Owen backed Chelsea to edge Sevilla, while PSG will defeat Man United.

“Chelsea comes into this one having surrendered a two goal lead to draw 3-3 with Southampton,” Owen told BetVictor.

“This was the second time the Blues have drawn 3-3 this season, and I am expecting goals to be on the menu again here. Sevilla lost out to Granada at the weekend, so it is fair to say both need a result.

“Timo Werner finally found the net on Saturday, and if he’s in the mood again, I could see Chelsea edging it.”

Commenting on the PSG vs Man United game, Owen said: “Manchester United flattered to deceive with their 4-1 win at Newcastle on Saturday night.

“However, they face a much tougher test in Paris. With the likes of Neymar and Mbappe, I think they may have too much for United.

“I reckon last year’s finalists will come out on top with both sides scoring.”

The match kick-off time for all the games is at 8 pm, Nigerian time.
