Police arrest suspect supplying guns to criminals in Bayelsa

 

The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested a 28-year-old man, Victor Ogon, for supplying guns to criminals in the state.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Asinim Butswat, who disclosed this to newsmen on Wednesday said the suspect, Victor Ogon, was arrested following a tip-off.

“The suspect is a notorious member of the dreaded Bobos cult group. He has produced and sold several locally made guns to cultists and armed robbers in Bayelsa State.

“Detectives are on the trail of some of the cultists who had purchased some locally made arms from him,”

“We urge members of the public to help the police to succeed in the task of fighting crime and criminality in the state,” he said.
