EPL: Man Utd deserved Liverpool defeat - Solskjaer

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has admitted Liverpool deserved to win on Thursday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s men left Old Trafford with a 4-2 win in what was a thrilling affair.

United took the lead after Bruno Fernandes’s shot was deflected past Alisson Becker, before Diogo Jota made it 1-1.

Roberto Firmino grabbed a brace either side of half time to restore the two-goal advantage, before Marcus Rashford pulled one back.

However, Mohammed Salah escaped down the right to finish confidently pass Dean Henderson.

“They deserved the win. We conceded goals in key moments of the game.

“We didn’t build on the momentum or break up their momentum. We gave them at least two goals really.

“Then we scored again, had a massive chance. Key moments went against us,” Solskjaer said.
