Ronaldo, Juventus could end up in Europa League

Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus are in real danger of missing out on the Champions League next season.

This follows a 3-0 thrashing in the hands of rivals AC Milan on Sunday.

The result leaves Juve in fifth place on the Serie A table, three points behind Atalanta and Milan and one behind Napoli.

On Wednesday, the deposed Italian champions travel to eighth-placed Sassuolo before hosting new champions Inter Milan.

Then they play Coppa Italia final against Atalanta follows on May 19, before a final trip to Bologna.

With Juventus in financial difficulties, they cannot afford to miss out on the Champions League.

It also remains to be seen if Ronaldo, who has been linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United in recent months, will stick around if Juve only qualify for the Europa League.
