England will tackle Croatia today in their Group D Euro 2020 opener at Wembley.

Asked for his preferred England starting XI for the Croatia game, Ferdinand was quoted by Metro UK as saying: “On the right-hand side of the back three I would play Kyle Walker, on the left I would play Luke Shaw, central, I would play John Stones,’ he told

“Right wing-back: Reece James, midfield: Mason Mount and Declan Rice, left side: Ben Chilwell.

“And then I would play two No.10s inside, I am not playing them wide, two narrow No.10s: Grealish and Foden, stroke Sterling, maybe one of those, I’m undecided, and then I would play Kane up top.
