Senate minority leader rumoured to have been arrested seen at Power Committee

Senate Minority leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe who was reported to have been arrested by the Department of State Security was seen participating in the Committee on Power.

Abaribe participated in the Committee that was chaired by Senator Gabriel Susam at meeting Room 2.21 at the Senate Wing of the National Assembly.

Senator Abaribe who was dressed in navy blue coloured caftan was observed by our correspondent to be cool and calm while he also looked focused making his contributions on Power challenges in the country.

Abaribe’s presence at the Committee meeting has put to rest rumours of his arrest in some daily newspapers.

He is the Vice-Chairman, Senate Committee on Power and he sat next to the Chairman, Senator Gabriel Suswan who presided over the meeting.

Recall that the rumour of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe’s arrest started shortly after he was seen wearing a T-shirt with the inscription ” The Dot Nation”

It was also recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had in his interview with Arise TV described IPOB as a dot in a circle.

As opposition leader in the upper legislative Chambers, he has been vocal and vitriolic on some national critical issues.
