A caucus group in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Osun Progressives (TOP) has cried out over alleged irregularities being perpetrated by the leadership of the party in the state.

The group accused the leadership of manipulating membership registration in Osun and performing acts of demolition of unity within the APC in the state.

The Osun Progressives has now told President Muhammadu Buhari, that “all is not well with the Osun APC.”

This was made known in a press conference on Thursday in Osogbo before the weekly general meeting of the group.

Addressing the journalists, the chairman of the caucus group, Revd. Adelowo Adebiyi accused the present leadership of APC of manipulating the recently concluded membership revalidation and registration of the party against non-members of Ileri Oluwa group, a group that presented Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

He further alleged that the leadership of Osun APC “shamelessly ceded its responsibility to the government appointees who hoarded the registration materials and were carrying out the
registration in their different homes.

“Information has it that government appointees printed more registration materials and engaged some youths to fill the slips and the register with fictitious names and affix it with any available passport photographs. This is said to have lasted for as much as three weeks after the official closure of the process.

“As we speak, reliable sources said the register; even to the extent of its manipulation is still in the Okefia Government House, Osogbo,” Osun Progressives TOP alleged.

“Part of what was observed as the problems that have grown to be hydra-headed is the inability of the present leadership to resolve a palpable crisis in all the LG/LCDA branches of the party.
As we speak, no LG/LCDA has less than two factions in the party. There is no meeting of any sort in the last 18 months or so.

“The current party leadership promotes mutual exclusiveness in all its actions, thus destroying party unity. May we note that the previous leaderships of APC before this one did everything to ensure the unity of the party which happened to be the secret of our success even when we fought a vicious opposition in PDP.” Adeniyi added.
