Kidnap kingpin who collected N4m ransom from own father killed in Kogi


A notorious kidnap kingpin who abducted his own father and collected N4 million ransom has been killed in Kogi State.

The kidnap kingpin, whose name was not made public, was killed on Saturday in a gun duel with security operatives in Olamaboro Local Government of the state.

Saga Gist gathered that the deceased criminal was known for his numerous ventures in kidnapping and armed robbery in the area.

The Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, Hon. Adejoh Friday Nicodemus, confirmed this while addressing journalists on Sunday.

He said a combined security operation in the local government also led to the arrest of another notorious criminal identified as Kizito Ocheme, alias Igbo, known for terrorizing the local government and Otukpo branch of Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.

Nichodemus stated that the efforts of Governor Yahaya Bello and his government to guarantee the safety of lives and properties of citizens was yielding good results as criminals now find Kogi as a no-go area.
